Quick Look: The My Online Yoga Roku channel offers three full-length yoga instructional videos for those who want a preview. But to get a full sense of what is offered, take advantage of a free two-week membership by entering your e-mail address through the Roku channel. You will receive an e-mail directing you to a Roku-only page on the My Online Yoga website. After creating an account, return to the Roku channel and enter your username and password for access to the full video library - no credit card required.
Once you join (free trial or paid membership), you can browse videos by Practice, Teacher, or Studio. Practice videos are further categorized under Yoga, Beginner Yoga, Studio Classes, Pilates & Dance, Meditation, Workplace Wellness, Mind Body TV, and Workshops. If you have a favorite instructor, the Teacher main category lets you choose from any of 50 instructors. Likewise, the Studio category lets you choose videos recorded any of two dozen studios.
My Yoga Online isn't strictly yoga instruction. Visit Rooted Nutrition under Studios and you'll find cooking videos feature recipes such as stinging nettle soup and roasted kale chips. Also, as noted above, videos are also offered for Pilates and dance instruction.
Any video can be added to your "favorites" or "watch later" queue, and you can also visit "My History" if you want to revisit a previously-viewed video.
