M3u Playlist Player

SORRY - M3u Playlist Player is no longer available in the Roku Channel Store.

Quick Look: The M3u Playlist Player is an app that will read M3U playlists and stream the audio and media files in that list to your Roku device. For those not familiar with this, an M3U (which stands for MP3 URL) playlist is simply a file that points to audio and video files, which may be located on the Internet or local network. The media player reads the file and then queues up the media listed in the M3U file.

M3u Playlist Player does not have any M3U playlists built in. You will need to create or find these playlists for yourself, and then copy the M3U URL (or path to the file on a local network) into the app. (Tip: Doing this with the Roku app on an iOS or Android device is much easier than using your Roku remote.) If you're creating your own M3U files, full details on format and supported options can be found in the About selection in the app.

Another Roku app for M3U playlists is the M3uEXY Player.
