Your Independent TV Streamer Guide

FLIPQuick Look: FLIP is a game consisting of a board with 64 squares in an 8x8 pattern. Each square contains one of a half-dozen or so objects or symbols, which vary based on which of the four boards your choose (Fridge features letters and numbers, Glass features beads of varying colors, Junk Box displays, buttons, coins, thumb tacks, and so forth). These items are randomly arranged.

Your objective is to place three or more identical objects side by side in a horizontal or vertical row. To do this, you look for three identical items would form a row of three if one of those three identical items could be moved one space up or over. Find highlight the item that's out of place and press "OK" on your remote, then highlight the adjacent square where you want it to go and press "OK" again. If you lined up three identical items in a row, you get points, the items disappear, and the row compresses with new items filling in from the end.

You can play in Time Mode, where you're trying to get as many matches as possible within one minute, or play a Marathon game with no time limit. FLIP tracks high scores, and you can record your initials in the high-score roster if you score high enough. There is also an option for turning hints on or off, but I received no hints when this option was on.

The game is well-designed with a nice graphics. The option of changing boards and the ability to record high scores are good additions from some other games of this skill level.
