All United States History

Quick Look: All United States History is a Roku channel offering video on demand that discusses various aspects of American History from 1491 until present day. Videos include:

  • African American History
  • American literature
  • American Revolution
  • Becoming a World Power
  • Branches of Government
  • First Ladies
  • 1491 to the Present
  • Founding Fathers
  • Electoral College
  • Great Depression
  • Immigration and Urbanization
  • National Monuments
  • Political Parties
  • Presidential Duties
  • Progressive Era
  • Rise of Industrial America
  • Supreme Court
  • 13 Colonies
  • US Constitution
  • US National Parks
  • US Presidents
  • US Libraries
  • Wars
  • Women's Rights

The videos apparently come from different sources and are of varying styles and qualify. "Becoming a World Power" and "The Rise of Industry" are dry lectures with video that consisted of PowerPoint-style slides. "National Monuments" is a more professional production, similar to what you would expect to see shown to an elementary school class. "Supreme Court" is higher quality, something that you might find on PBS, with professional narration and a wealth of historical photos and video.

You can expect four 30-second commercials before the first video plays, but we watched parts of several other videos with no ads shown.
