Quick Look: AccuRadio Website is a fairly basic streaming music service with playlists in a wide range of genres, with a wide range of categories from Adult Contemporary to World Music. Within each category you'll find multiple playlists. For example, the Alt-Country category has five playlists that include Twang (Country- and roots-inspired rock), The Fast Train (Fresh, fast, new Americana releases) and Y'alternative (Classic '90s alt-country). Some of the more-unique categories are Cabaret, French Pop Classics, and Nordic Folk Songs, although there is plenty to choose from in traditional genres like Oldies and Pop Standards.
The AccuRadio content on the Roku app is kept up to date (this is being written just before Christmas and there are several Christmas collections to choose from, along with The Best Music of 2020). Unfortunately, the AccuRadio Roku app has not been updated in several years. The app version is dated November 2017 in the channel store, and track information is no longer displayed while a playlist is streaming. The app also directs user to press the * button to search within a genre, but Roku long ago updated their operating system so that the * button only brings up volume leveling and accessibility options. Still, AccuRadio is a good option if you're looking for somewhat obscure playlists like those noted above.
