Nowhere TV Nowhere TV is a free private channel that brings together audio and video podcasts from a wide variety of sources. The iTunes Podcasts channel has a much larger library of podcasts, but Nowhere TV has winnowed down the number of podcasts to those that are particularly useful, popular, or entertaining.

KoldCast After a big year-end push last month, there haven't been many new Roku channels released in the last couple of weeks. That means I have time to go back and catch up on some earlier channels that I haven't had time to watch. One channel I'm sorry I overlooked is KoldCast, which offers dozens of entertaining web series.

50 Speeches You Must See By Roku standards, the "50 Speeches" channel is ancient, having been launched back in September of 2010. I never paid much attention to it until today, but when I launched it I found that it offers a terrific collection of historical speeches, most of which I have never seen or heard in their entirety.

CHOW Food Network fans will find several good channels in the food category on Roku. One of your first stops should be Chow, which offers close to a dozen series, with individual videos ranging in length from less than a minute to 15 minutes or more. Most are around two to five minutes, though, so don't expect half- to full-hour episodes like you get on the Food Network.

Showtime Preview Showtime has decided to take a different approach to Roku than did HBO with their HBO Go channel. HBO provides on-demand access to their large library of movies and series, but only to those Roku users who subscribe to HBO through a cable or satellite provider.

Roku Channel Store CategoriesGood news for basketball fans - the NBA's Game Time Lite channel has launched on the Roku for the shortened 2011-2012 season, and it's free. Live games will require a subscription after January 8, but you still have free access to scores (updated in real time during games), team and player stats, team standings, and video recaps of the games.
