A Journey for Oil - Medical Marijuana for Kids on Roku's Time Channel The debate over marijuana legalization rages on, even as more and more states move to allow medical (and sometimes recreational) uses. Most of that debate centers on the sale and use of pot for smoking or as edibles. Often overlooked is that the Federal government also prohibits the manufacture and sale of non-psychotic derivatives for medical use.

A Journey for Oil is the story of a family's illegal cross-country drive to transport marijuana oil for their epileptic 3-year old daughter. This 16-minute Red Border Film, available on the Time channel, looks at medical marijuana for children and how one family is dealing with the difficulties of obtaining the only treatment they have found to offer help for their child. The film is accompanied by a related article, Pot Kids, by Kate Pickert.
