WebCam-One

WebCam-One is an app that allows you to watch a webcam of your choosing on your television. The app comes preloaded with Livermore California's Centennial Light Bulbcam, which shows an incandescent bulb that has been burning for over 110 years. No, it's not a very exciting webcam, but you can find additional webcams at opentopia.com. To get the address of a cam, click on that cam's link, right-click on the image, then select View Image. The URL in the address bar should end with .jpg. Copy that entire URL into the address field on the WebCam Plus web interface.

Webcams must meet WebCam-One's limitations: the images must be in JPEG format, they must be accessible through a web interface, and the webcam can't require the user to login to view it. The app doesn't handle video, either.

To store up to 64 webcam addresses and to enter addresses using a web interface, purchase the Webcam Plus app.
