American Primetime TV

American Primetime TVTHIS CHANNEL IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN THE ROKU CHANNEL STORE.

RokuGuide Quick Look: American Primetime TV is available in free and subscription versions, with no apparent difference between them. Both have the same content, and both display commercials at the start of every video. The only discernible difference is that the logo for the free channel has a "Sneak Peek" banner across it, so it's possible that the free version will have reduced capabilities at some point. In the meantime, go for the free version.

Both channels offer a live stream along with the following video on demand categories:

  • Classic Movies - There are currently (April 2013) 70 classic films in the genres of Action/Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Film Noir, Horror, Westerns, and Thrillers.
  • Classic TV - Episodes of the following television series:
    • The Adventures of Robin Hood
    • Beverly Hillbillies
    • Bonanza
    • The Cisco Kid
    • Dragnet
    • The Invisible Man
    • The Jack Benny Show
    • The Life of Reily
    • The Lucy Show
    • One Step Beyond
    • Victory at Sea
  • Series and Specials - Episodes of APTV original series Highway to Fame and In the Fight.

I experienced very long load times for the movie and TV menus. Be patient - you may wait well over a minute, but the titles should eventually load.

-- Information is current as of April 18, 2013
